This is a production support-focused role for a UK-based client, responsible for maintaining and supporting a large-scale Oracle Endeca search platform across multiple eCommerce websites. Key responsibilities include: Manage and support a multi-site Oracle Endeca on-premise workplace with dedicated Endeca applications and MDEX engines for each website. Administer, monitor, and optimize Endeca MDEX engines, DGraphs, Forge pipelines, and search/navigation configurations. Design, maintain, and troubleshoot Endeca Forge-based data ingestion pipelines and custom ETL processes sourcing data from flat files. Support and enhance Endeca Assembler API integrations consumed by Classic ASP storefront applications. Analyze and resolve search relevance, navigation, faceting, and product discovery issues across multiple websites. Monitor and tune Endeca query performance, index performance, and system resource utilization to ensure optimal customer experience. Manage deployment, version control, and release processes using GitLab repositories for custom cartridges, scripts, and configurations. Work with Squid proxy infrastructure to troubleshoot caching, routing, latency, and availability issues between application and Endeca layers. Support daily batch operations and scheduling through Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / OPC, including job monitoring, failure recovery, and dependency management. Perform Endeca index builds, deployments, rollbacks, and production validations in a controlled release workplace. Investigate and resolve production incidents related to search availability, indexing failures, performance degradation, and application integration issues. Develop and maintain operational runbooks, support documentation, deployment procedures, and disaster recovery plans. Collaborate with business, merchandising, infrastructure, and application teams to implement search enhancements and platform improvements. Participate in 24x7 production support and on-call rotations for critical search platform incidents.
