About the role
Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware issues on desktops, laptops, and related devices. Perform installation, configuration, and testing of hardware components (RAM, HDD/SSD, motherboard, power supply, etc.). Replace faulty parts and ensure proper functioning of systems. Install and configure operating systems and required software (basic level). Setup and troubleshoot peripheral devices (printers, scanners, monitors, keyboards, etc.). Handle cabling, connectivity, and hardware-related network issues. Maintain asset records, repair logs, and service documentation. Support end-users through onsite visits or remote assistance as required. Ensure all installations and repairs meet company safety and quality guidelines. Required Qualifications & Skills: Minimum 13 years of experience as a Desktop/Hardware Engineer. Strong knowledge of desktop & laptop hardware components . Hands-on experience in replacing and repairing hardware parts. Ability to troubleshoot system performance, boot issues, and connectivity problems. Good understanding of BIOS/UEFI, drivers, and system configuration. Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Strong communication and customer-support skills. Willing to travel for onsite service calls if required. Preferred Skills: Experience with multi-brand hardware. Basic networking knowledge (LAN, switches, IP configuration). Knowledge of diagnostic tools and hardware testing utilities.
