About the role
Job Title: Assistant General Manager Equipment Engineering (Automation) Location: Pune Experience: 12–18 Years Job Description We are looking for an experienced AGM – Equipment Engineering (Automation) to lead automation and equipment engineering for Battery Module, Battery Pack, and BESS manufacturing lines. The role involves automation architecture, equipment commissioning, supplier management, production line optimization, and Industry 4.0 implementation. Key Responsibilities Lead automation and equipment engineering for Battery Module, Pack & BESS assembly lines. Define automation architecture including PLCs, Robotics, HMI, Vision Systems, AGVs, Servo Drives, and Safety Systems. Manage RFQ, technical evaluation, vendor selection, equipment installation, FAT/SAT, and commissioning. Improve equipment uptime, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and production efficiency. Integrate manufacturing equipment with MES/SCADA systems. Support new product introduction (NPI), capacity expansion, and automation upgrades. Ensure compliance with machine and electrical safety standards. Lead automation engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
