Role Overview: As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer at Tungsten Automation, you play a crucial role in converting data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Your main responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions such as dashboards, reports, and data models to help stakeholders understand performance, identify trends, and uncover improvement opportunities. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT project teams to ensure data accuracy and relevance, fostering a data-informed culture within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, visualizations, and data models using BI tools and technologies like Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, Power Query M, and DAX. - Translate business requirements into technical specifications and BI solutions. - Build and optimize data models to support reporting and analytics needs. - Develop ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources. - Partner with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, ensure data governance, and performance. - Support the migration of enterprise reporting to Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Lake environments. - Collaborate with data engineers to modernize legacy ETL/reporting pipelines for cloud-based delivery. - Define data integration strategies to meet business needs. - Assist with the creation and maintenance of Fabric Dataflows, Pipelines, and semantic models. - Analyze structured schema modules and build scalable reporting solutions. - Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems for performance and reliability. - Maintain documentation for BI solutions, data models, and reporting processes. - Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities. - Support data governance and compliance initiatives. - Architect field and object level security in reports. - Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools. - Stay updated with BI technologies and trends to enhance solutions and processes. - Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and workflows. - Utilize AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and streamline tasks. Qualifications: Required Skills: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in BI/reporting roles with a strong back-end focus. - Proficiency in BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Power Query M, DAX, and Power Automate. - Strong SQL skills and experience in databases and ETL workflows. - Expertise in data modeling, report design, and self-service enablement. - Experience with data warehouse and data lake environments. - Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Snowflake technologies. - Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Understanding of data governance, quality, and security best practices. - Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and reliability. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Comfortable working independently and in a team environment. - Experience with scripting languages and Agile or Scrum methodologies. - Skills in prompting AI systems and leveraging AI for departmental needs.
