About the role
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 89 years of hands-on experience in managing, administering, and optimizing Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate should have extensive expertise in Oracle Database 19c, 21c (20c knowledge is a plus, though Oracle 20c was not released for production), Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, Exadata, RMAN, and performance tuning. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, security, backup and recovery, and overall database health in mission-critical production environments. Required Experience 89 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator. Strong experience managing enterprise Oracle databases in production environments. Experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability database infrastructures. Required Technical Skills Oracle Database Administration: Oracle 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, and 21c (Oracle 23ai knowledge is an added advantage). Installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migration of Oracle databases. Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) administration and troubleshooting. Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management). Oracle Data Guard (Physical & Logical Standby). Oracle GoldenGate replication and synchronization. Oracle Exadata administration and optimization. Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Cloud Control. RMAN backup, restore, recovery, and disaster recovery planning. Oracle Multitenant Architecture (CDB/PDB). Performance tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, Statspack, SQL Trace, and TKPROF. SQL and PL/SQL performance optimization. Database security, user management, roles, profiles, TDE (Transparent Data Encryption), Oracle Wallet, and auditing. Oracle Linux/Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration. Shell scripting (Bash/Korn Shell) for automation. Database cloning, refresh, and migration. Data Pump (EXPDP/IMPDP), Transportable Tablespaces. Oracle Grid Infrastructure administration. Capacity planning and database monitoring. Incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Preferred Skills Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Database Services. Autonomous Database exposure. Oracle Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM). Oracle Data Safe. Ansible or Terraform automation. Python scripting. Kubernetes/OpenShift exposure for Oracle workloads. Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. Monitoring tools like OEM, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or Dynatrace. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases. Administer Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and Exadata environments. Monitor database health and proactively resolve issues. Perform backup, recovery, cloning, and disaster recovery operations using RMAN. Optimize database performance through SQL tuning and system-level tuning. Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions. Plan and execute database migrations and version upgrades. Manage database security, encryption, auditing, and compliance. Automate routine DBA tasks using shell or Python scripts. Collaborate with application teams during deployments and production support. Participate in 247 on-call support and resolve production incidents. Document database architecture, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification preferred. Oracle Certified Master (OCM) or Oracle Cloud certifications are a plus. Nice to Have Oracle 23ai experience. Experience with AWS RDS for Oracle or Azure Oracle solutions. Knowledge of PostgreSQL or SQL Server administration. Exposure to enterprise backup solutions such as NetBackup or Commvault. Experience working in Banking, Healthcare, Telecom, or Financial Services domains. Compensation: 1,700,000.00 - 1,800,000.00 per year Work Location: Remote .
