Experience: Minimum 12 15 years Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a related discipline. Key Responsibilities Conduct hydrological assessments of watersheds, river basins, lakes, and groundwater systems. Analyze rainfall, runoff, streamflow, groundwater recharge, and water balance data. Develop and calibrate hydrological and hydraulic models for flood forecasting, water resource planning, and climate resilience studies. Assess flood risks and recommend mitigation measures, including nature-based solutions. Evaluate surface water and groundwater interactions and prepare water resource inventories. Support the preparation of master plans, regional plans, and infrastructure projects by integrating hydrological considerations. Identify water-related risks and propose sustainable water management strategies. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental, geological, infrastructure, tourism, and urban planning experts. Engage with government agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders to collect data and validate findings. Prepare technical reports, maps, presentations, and documentation in accordance with project requirements. Required Skills Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modelling software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, MIKE Suite, SWAT, or WEAP. Strong knowledge of watershed management, floodplain analysis, and climate change adaptation. Experience with GIS and remote sensing tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS. Familiarity with national and international water resource management guidelines. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Experience Experience in at least two master planning, river basin management, or water resource development projects. Prior experience working with multidisciplinary teams on urban, regional, or tourism development projects.
