In this role, you will apply strong fundamentals in fluid dynamics, multiphase flow, and combustion to develop and execute simulations addressing refrigerant leakage, dispersion, ignition risk, and fire dynamics. You will support both internal and customer-facing engineering efforts, including safety evaluations, risk assessment, and compliance-driven simulations, with a focus on delivering reliable, physics-based insights for real-world scenarios.

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field • 4–8 years of experience in CFD with focus on fluid flow and safety modeling • Strong fundamentals in: Fluid dynamics and turbulence Heat transfer Multiphase flow and species transport Combustion and fire dynamics

• Experience with CFD tools such as: ANSYS Fluent / CFX / STAR-CCM+ / OpenFOAM / COMSOL • Hands-on experience in: Refrigerant leakage modeling Gas dispersion and ventilation studies Fire/combustion simulations

• Understanding of: Flammability limits and hazard assessment Transient flow and leak dynamics Basic V&V practices

• Good communication and technical documentation skills • Preferred: Exposure to HVAC/refrigeration systems Familiarity with safety / regulatory-driven simulations

• Develop and execute CFD simulations for refrigerant leakage, gas dispersion, and ventilation analysis • Model multiphase flows, multi-species transport, and transient flow behavior • Perform fire and combustion simulations, including ignition, flame propagation, and heat release • Analyze hazard scenarios such as confined space leakage, accumulation, and flammability limits • Apply appropriate boundary conditions for leak sources, mass flow rates, and environmental conditions • Conduct steady-state and transient simulations for leak evolution and fire scenarios • Interpret results to identify risk zones, ignition probability, and mitigation strategies • Support V&V activities, including comparison with test data and literature correlations • Prepare technical reports highlighting assumptions, risks, and safety insights • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on safety, compliance, and product design
