Job Summary ULOOK is seeking an experienced RF System Engineer to design, analyze and validate high-performance spaceborne RF sensing systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in RF front-end design, antenna selection and integration, system noise figure analysis, sensitivity estimation, SDR-based development and link budget calculations. Key Responsibilities Design, simulate and analyze RF front-end architectures for space-based sensing applications. Develop RF front-end architectures for SDR receiver, transmitter and transceiver systems. Perform RF chain analysis, including gain planning, noise figure budgeting, sensitivity calculation and dynamic range estimation. Design and review RF PCB layouts with attention to impedance control, grounding, shielding and component placement. Select, evaluate and integrate antennas for communication, sensing and direction-finding applications. Conduct link budget analysis for various operational ranges and deployment conditions. Work with SDR platforms for prototyping, signal capture and system validation. Characterize and optimize RF performance using spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators and related RF test equipment. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, FPGA and system teams to deliver integrated solutions. Debug RF issues related to spurious responses, interference, sensitivity degradation and noise coupling. Prepare design documentation, test reports and support design reviews. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication, RF, Microwave or related field. 4 - 6 years of experience in RF system design, integration and validation. Strong understanding of RF front-end design. Proficiency in RF design/simulation tools. Good knowledge of antennas, antenna matching and integration. Expertise in noise figure, sensitivity, gain and link budget analysis. Familiarity with SDR systems and RF signal processing. Understanding of impedance matching, S-parameters, return loss, insertion loss and isolation. Experience with RF test and measurement equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and optimize real-world RF systems. Preferred Skills Master's degree in Communication, RF, Microwave or related field. Experience with software-defined RF systems. Hands-on experience with RF PCB design and layout best practices. Experience in direction finding, geolocation or radar systems. Familiarity with LNA, mixers, filters, attenuators and PLLs. Knowledge of EMC/EMI mitigation techniques. Experience with multi-channel synchronization and phase-coherent systems. Exposure to embedded Linux, FPGA-based SDR platforms or RFSoC based systems.
