Role Overview: You will be responsible for owning the end-to-end design and development of low voltage electrical motors, ensuring product quality, cost competitiveness, and design robustness. This core R&D function will require deep integration with internal teams, critical engineering decision-making, and safeguarding proprietary design knowledge. Additionally, you will design and develop sub-assemblies and associated parts for low voltage motors, standardize active parts design, and conceptualize new technologies for EM drives. Key Responsibilities: - Take full ownership of the motor design lifecycle, from concept to production release and field performance. - Lead critical design decisions, architecture selection, and engineering trade-offs affecting cost, quality, and performance. - Drive root cause analysis of field failures, define corrective actions, and ensure permanent resolution through design changes. - Initiate and implement cost reduction projects through design optimization, material changes, and process improvements. - Perform and validate DFX strategies to ensure manufacturability and scalability. - Define load cycles, analytical models, and validation criteria for design robustness. - Own tolerance stack-up strategy and ensure functional compliance across all operating conditions. - Collaborate with Manufacturing, QMM, Procurement, and Suppliers to ensure seamless product industrialization. - Govern engineering documentation, CAD models, and BOM structures with accountability in NX, Teamcenter, and SAP. - Drive engineering change management with impact analysis and cross-functional alignment. - Act as a technical authority for internal reviews, audits, and customer escalations. - Ensure adherence to internal standards, ISO GPS norms, and PMI practices. Qualifications: - B.E. Mechanical Note: Optional skills, additional company details, and any other information not directly related to the Role Overview, Key Responsibilities, and Qualifications have been omitted as per the instructions.
