About the role
Core Development: Design, develop, and customize WordPress websites, including custom Theme and Plugin development. Backend Engineering: Manage backend development using PHP and MySQL. Implement and optimize Redis for object caching to reduce database load. API Integration: robustly integrate REST APIs and third-party data providers; develop custom endpoints when necessary. Performance & SEO: Optimize websites for maximum speed, scalability, and Core Web Vitals. Implement technical SEO best practices. Security: Implement security protocols, fix vulnerabilities, and ensure safe data handling. Maintenance & Support: Handle website maintenance, bug fixing, troubleshooting, and uptime support. Collaboration: Work closely with QA, DevOps, and Design teams to ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design. Lifecycle Management: Manage deployment, release support, and version control using Git. Technical Requirements. Primary Stack & Languages. WordPress Core: Deep understanding of custom post types, taxonomies, Hooks & Filters, and the template hierarchy. Technology: Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and Redis (Object Caching). APIs: Extensive experience with REST API development and third-party integration. Tools & Environment. Development Tools: VS Code, WP-CLI, Postman. Version Control: Git & GitHub. Database & Server: MySQL, Apache, Nginx, Redis. Monitoring & Analytics: New Relic, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and necessary plugins. Qualifications. 2+ years of proven work experience as a WordPress Developer. Strong understanding of legacy and modern WordPress architecture. Experience with database structure and query optimization. Familiarity with debugging tools (eg, Chrome Inspector, Firebug) and browser compatibility testing.
