Role Overview: You will be a Robotics System Engineer (Control) at Unbox Robotics, responsible for designing, developing, and fine-tuning algorithms that control the behavior of robotic systems. Your work will involve collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hardware and software solutions that meet precise specifications and performance standards. As a part of the team, you will be based in Pune, India, and contribute to building the future of on-demand robotics logistics solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Own control system modelling and validation for real robotic systems deployed in warehouses. - Build high-fidelity electro-mechanical system models including motors, drives, sensors, and mechanisms. - Implement Model-Based Development (MBD) using MATLAB/Simulink. - Generate embedded code using Simulink (Embedded Coder) and work directly with hardware and firmware teams for deployment. - Analyse stability, robustness, and system performance to ensure optimal functionality. - Help in the production of robots by leveraging your strong hands-on experience in MATLAB/Simulink with a mandatory MBD workflow. - Create plant + controller models, work with MIL/SIL/HIL, and have a strong foundation in Linear Algebra and system dynamics. - Utilize your Motor Modelling & Control Experience, preferably with BLDC/PMSM, and understanding of embedded C/C++. - Apply your expertise in robotics motion control and experience in working on physical systems in a non-academic setting. - Contribute to a fast-paced product startup environment with your 1-4 years of experience in robotics or control systems engineering. - Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, ENTC, or Mechanical Engineering. Qualifications Required: - Expertise in C++/Python, MATLAB/Simulink, ROS, and control theory. - Strong hands-on experience in MATLAB/Simulink with a mandatory MBD workflow. - Experience with plant + controller models, MIL/SIL/HIL simulations, and embedded C/C++. - Strong foundation in Linear Algebra and system dynamics. - Motor Modelling & Control Experience, preferably with BLDC/PMSM. - Minimum 1-4 years of experience in robotics or control systems engineering. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, ENTC, or Mechanical Engineering. - Experience working on physical systems in a non-academic environment.
