About the role
Role Overview: As a UFH Data Product Analyst on a 13-month secondment at Unilever Fragrance House, you will have a unique opportunity to accelerate data-driven fragrance innovation. Your role will involve shaping the way fragrance data is captured, structured, and transformed into valuable insights within a defined timeframe. You will play a pivotal role in owning and maturing key data products that support fragrance creation, testing, and optimization, while building sustainable foundations for future scalability. Key Responsibilities: - Own fragrance data products throughout the secondment period, managing data capture, integration, analytics, dashboards, and insight delivery. - Design and implement practical data architecture, standards, and governance for fragrance, formulation, and sensory data. - Facilitate automated and scalable data capture, particularly from laboratory systems and digital lab tools, to enhance data quality and reduce manual effort. - Transform complex datasets into clear insights for decision-making, collaborating with R&D and business teams to define and track high-value metrics. - Act as a liaison between business and technology, working with Digital, IT, and external providers to deliver analytics, AI, and generative design capabilities. - Promote data adoption and literacy, ensuring effective integration of tools, dashboards, and practices by the end of the secondment. Qualifications Required: - Experience in data analytics, data engineering, and data architecture, preferably in FMCG, R&D, or consumer product settings. - Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI for both technical and non-technical audiences. - Familiarity with modern data platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP), Data Transformation (SQL, Python), and data governance best practices. - Desirable experience with laboratory, formulation, sensory, or consumer testing data. - Ability to thrive in matrixed, cross-functional environments, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
