About the role
UNIMIG is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our headless e-commerce platform. You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust testing processes across web applications, APIs, CMS, and e-commerce integrations. Your primary focus will be preventing production issues through comprehensive manual testing, automation, regression testing, and close collaboration with developers throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Manual Testing Perform end-to-end functional testing across web applications and e-commerce workflows. Validate customer journeys including product browsing, cart, checkout, payments, shipping, and order management. Execute regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, usability, and cross-browser testing. Verify responsive behavior across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Automation Testing Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for UI and API testing. Integrate automated testing into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines. Improve automation coverage to reduce manual regression effort. Generate test execution reports and monitor automation reliability. Headless E-commerce Validation Test applications built on MedusaJS and Directus CMS. Validate product synchronization, inventory, pricing, collections, customer accounts, and order processing. Verify integrations between backend services and frontend applications. Test REST APIs and webhook-driven workflows. Website & Frontend Testing Validate HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive layouts. Identify UI inconsistencies and browser compatibility issues. Test website performance, accessibility, SEO basics, and usability. Ensure error-free user experiences across modern browsers. API & Integration Testing Test REST APIs using Postman or similar tools. Validate authentication, authorization, request/response handling, and error scenarios. Verify third-party integrations including payment gateways, shipping providers, ERP, and CMS integrations. Defect Management Log, prioritize, reproduce, and track bugs using Jira. Work closely with developers to identify root causes. Verify fixes and ensure no regression is introduced. Quality Process Improvement Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and QA documentation. Define quality gates before production releases. Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and release validation. Recommend improvements to increase software quality and delivery speed.
