Senior Oracle Cloud and Multi - Cloud Consultant

A Senior Oracle Cloud and Multi-Cloud Consultant with 20+ years of deep enterprise experience spanning Oracle Cloud (OCI), AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. This principal-level role demands mastery across the full Oracle product suite, polyglot database management (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB), and advanced database engineering, including partitioning, indexing strategies, query optimisation, and cloud infrastructure optimisation at scale. The consultant acts as a trusted advisor to C-suite and engineering leadership, driving architectural decisions across complex hybrid and multi-cloud landscapes. Responsibilities: Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade multi-cloud architectures across OCI, AWS, Azure, and GCP, selecting optimal platforms, services, and deployment patterns per workload type.Architect, optimise, and govern polyglot database environments: Oracle Database (19c/21c/Exadata), PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB, including advanced partitioning, indexing, and query optimisation for high-volume OLTP and analytical workloads.Define and enforce cloud infrastructure optimisation frameworks covering compute right-sizing, auto-scaling policies, reserved/spot capacity strategies, FinOps governance, and multi-region redundancy.Design and implement Oracle product suite solutions, including Oracle Middleware (SOA/OSB), Oracle Analytics Cloud, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).Establish database performance engineering standards: execution plan analysis, optimiser statistics management, adaptive query optimisation, buffer pool tuning, and index design for RDBMS and NoSQL systems.Drive cloud migration programmes: lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting for complex Oracle and multi-database estates, including Oracle-to-PostgreSQL/MySQL and cloud-native refactoring.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams of 15-50 architects, DBAs, and cloud engineers; conduct architecture reviews, define CoE standards, and lead pre-sales and RFP responses.Implement enterprise security architecture: IAM, zero-trust networking, encryption at rest and in transit, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, SOC 2 ISO 27001 and HIPAA).
