Responsibilities Design, implement, administer, and optimize large-scale Linux server infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. Troubleshoot and resolve server deployment, configuration, and operational issues. Create and manage virtual machines, including custom virtual hardware provisioning and VM tools installation on VMware/Hyper-V infrastructure. Manage SAN storage expansion, troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues, and support VMware infrastructure. Develop and implement optimizations to enhance system performance and future scalability. Collaborate with engineers, QAs/SDETs, and developers to ensure smooth deployments, continuous operations, and high-quality software rollouts. Provision, optimize, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters in production and development environments. Design, build, and implement Kubernetes-based solutions with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability. Deploy, manage, and support Docker and Docker-Compose containers for application environments. Improve Kubernetes infrastructure, monitoring, and security posture; collaborate with engineers to resolve cluster issues. Configure and manage DNS (BIND), SNMP monitoring, and SSL certificates for secure and reliable operations. Perform Azure patching and updates to maintain compliance and system integrity. Work closely with security teams to implement hardened Linux builds, vulnerability remediation, and compliance checks. Design and execute long-term, consolidated infrastructure plans. Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail. Handle on-call responsibilities and urgent out-of-band support requests. Support the engineering team in optimizing deployment pipelines and operability of in-house products. Qualifications Core Skills Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, Oracle Linux), OpenShift Kubernetes (administration, development, troubleshooting) Docker Docker-Compose DNS (BIND), SNMP, SSL/TLS Secondary Skills Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) Azure Cloud (including patch management) Storage Backup technologies Deep knowledge of Linux core services (systemd, SSH, Syslog, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, Iptables, DNS BIND, SNMP) Proficiency in Linux system administration tasks: package management, deployment automation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning Hands-on experience managing SSL certificates, DNS configuration, and SNMP-based monitoring Proven experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments Solid Linux/Unix background with deep troubleshooting skills Familiarity with VMware infrastructure management and SAN storage troubleshooting Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams Disclaimer: This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
