IT Analyst Programmer

A globally managed IT service, including a team of 200 people from multiple countries. Several of IT services are managed globally, including IT service desk, applications, infrastructure, and cyber security. Specifically in Collaborative Applications, Vesuvius has switched to O365 in 2016 and is making full use of its capabilities, including the Power Platform options. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities ➢ Connects with business to understand and document their requirement ➢ Presents the requirements to the whole team to ensure technical solution meets the needs ➢ Reads technical requirements from Lead Architect to translate them into Collaborative Applications. ➢ Delivers code / solutions with sufficient quality to allow testing by other team members. ➢ Works under the premise of standards as defined by Lead Architect and proposes improvements. ➢ Links with other Programmers to share best practices and review code. ➢ Keeps Lead Architect and Analyst informed of development progress. ➢ Resolves help desk tickets directly assigned ensuring corrective actions are taken to prevent a recurrence. Knowledge/Experience/Skills Needed ➢ Expert in SharePoint Online (O365), Power Automate & PowerApps. ➢ Knows TypeScript, React, Graph API, SPFx, Azure. ➢ Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends. ➢ Knowledge of Agile software development practices, including experience maintaining sprint artefacts in a system such as Azure DevOps. ➢ Proven problem solving/analysis skills. ➢ Focused on creating quality and support-ready code. ➢ Able to maintain composure and multi-task, when working in stressful situations. ➢ Experience working in a multi-cultural environment with dispersed teams. ➢ Self-starter with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. ➢ Experienced working with stakeholders from C-Level to shop floor workers. ➢ Perfect command of English, written and spoken. ➢ Flexibility to travel on an ad-hoc basis.
