As a Freight Cost Analytics & Optimization specialist, your role involves developing robust freight cost models to analyze per/KM and per/KG costs across various lanes, modes, and geographies. Your key responsibilities include: - Identifying key cost drivers and implementing initiatives to reduce freight costs and enhance efficiency. - Conducting variance analysis, vendor benchmarking, and route optimization studies. - Providing cost insights to commercial and procurement teams for negotiations. In addition to cost analysis, you will be responsible for Freight Governance & Compliance by: - Establishing and driving freight governance frameworks across regions. - Ensuring adherence to transportation policies, rate cards, and contractual terms. - Monitoring and controlling freight spend with structured governance mechanisms. Furthermore, your role involves SOP Development & Process Standardization: - Creating, implementing, and optimizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for logistics processes. - Ensuring SOP adherence across countries and stakeholders. - Leading regular process audits to identify areas for improvement. You will also be involved in Multi-Country Logistics Operations, which includes: - Analyzing and supporting logistics operations across multiple countries/regions. - Collaborating with regional teams to streamline transportation networks and processes. - Ensuring optimization of cross-border logistics in terms of cost, timelines, and service levels. Efficiency & Continuous Improvement are key focus areas where you will: - Drive process improvement initiatives such as route optimization, load utilization, and turnaround times. - Identify automation opportunities to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce manual intervention. - Lead cross-functional projects to enhance supply chain performance. In the realm of Data Analytics & Reporting, your responsibilities will include: - Building and maintaining dashboards using tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar software. - Delivering actionable insights through in-depth analysis of logistics and transportation data. - Improving data accuracy, availability, and reporting automation. Your role also involves Stakeholder Management, where you will: - Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Regional Teams to drive logistics performance. - Influence decision-making through data-backed recommendations and clear communication. - Provide leadership with insights on cost trends and efficiency opportunities. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for this role include: - Reduction in freight cost per KM - Overall freight cost savings compared to baseline/budget - Improvement in logistics efficiency metrics (load utilization, route optimization, turnaround time) - SOP adherence and governance compliance levels - Successful implementation of process improvement initiatives - Data accuracy and dashboard adoption Your role is crucial in optimizing freight costs, enhancing efficiency, and driving continuous improvement in logistics operations.
