Deep MongoDB expertise — schema/data modeling for real workloads, indexing strategy, the aggregation framework, query profiling and optimization, and the operational realities of a database shared by many services. Strong Mongoose experience. TypeScript proficiency and experience migrating JavaScript codebases to it incrementally. Distributed-systems fundamentals — inter-service HTTP contracts, message queues/task backbones, idempotency, retries, caching (Redis), and the failure modes of a shared database. API design and auth — designing clean service APIs practical knowledge of authentication/session models and common web security pitfalls.
