Senior Healthcare Data Analyst Interoperability & Clinical Coding (ICD-10

Job Overview We are looking for a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst (57 years experience) with extensive experience in US Healthcare Data Interoperability and Clinical Coding Systems. In this role, you will analyze, map, and validate clinical data across source and target schemas for projects involving EHR/EMR platforms, payer systems, and claims data. A core responsibility will be evaluating and reviewing the accuracy of AI-generated clinical code mappings and medical synonyms, specifically within the PAMI domain (Problems, Allergies, Medications, and Immunizations). Note: Candidates with a Nursing (RN/BSN), Medical Coding (CPC/RHIA), or Clinical Informatics background who have transitioned into Data Analysis are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Clinical Data & AI Validation: Review, audit, and evaluate AI/ML-generated mapping outputs to ensure accurate translation between unstructured clinical text/synonyms and standardized codes. Schema Mapping & Transformation: Map, transform, and validate clinical and administrative data moving between source and target systems based on strict schema specifications. PAMI Domain Expertise: Perform data analysis and quality checks on PAMI datasetsProblems (ICD-10, SNOMED-CT), Allergies (RxNorm, UNII), Medications (RxNorm, NDC), and Immunizations (CVX). EHR Integration Knowledge: Analyze datasets extracted from or feeding into leading US EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, Allscripts, etc.). Data Quality & Interface Audit: Identify data discrepancies, schema mismatches, and truncation issues across integration pipelines (HL7 v2/v3, C-CDA, FHIR, APIs). Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with DBAs, Data Engineers, and AI/ML teams to define data transformation rules and mapping validation logic. Required Qualifications 57 years of hands-on Data Analysis experience in the US Healthcare domain. Deep expertise in clinical code sets: ICD-10-CM, SNOMED-CT, RxNorm, CVX, LOINC, and CPT/HCPCS. Strong understanding of clinical terminology, synonyms, and clinical intent (especially around PAMI). Practical knowledge of Healthcare Interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, C-CDA) and interface data mapping. Direct experience working with datasets from Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or similar EMRs. Strong SQL skills for querying databases, verifying schema consistency, and auditing mapped data. Preferred / Bonus Qualifications Clinical background (Nursing / RN, Clinical Informatics, or Certified Medical Coder). Prior experience evaluating NLP or AI model outputs for medical terminology mapping. .
