About the role
Role Summary
The URBN global logistics team is searching for an individual to be responsible for business analysis, requirements gathering and management, development and delivery of reports and other data output formats and support of the global systems integration team priorities. The Systems Analyst works with Global Logistics team to critically assess and determine their reporting needs and requirements, including report design specifications and approvals. This resource must have a strong sense of ownership and be well-spoken, self-motivated and able to work with both business resources and third party vendors. This role will need to have proficient knowledge of the underlying data warehouse, critically working with the data/ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) team to provide direction in how to roll in any needed aggregates or data model or ETL changes to support report development requirements. This role is also responsible for the set-up and training business resources on the use of an ad-hoc reporting environment.
Role Responsibilities
Work with Global Logistics Team across Finance, Transportation and Distribution
Proficiency in AI-assisted reporting workflows — including how to leverage AI tools to generate, validate, and refine reports, direct queries to the appropriate data sources and tables, and critically interpret AI-produced outputs to ensure accuracy and business relevance
Prioritize and manage all Global Logistics report deliveries as end-to-end projects from inception/requirements through delivery, acceptance and training
Take ownership to plan, conduct and direct the definition and analysis of business intelligence data requirements and needs on behalf of individual business stakeholders
Create mockups of report designs, and work with the business customers to optimize and sign off on report definitions
Use various AI/BI tools to develop specified reports for the business, working with the Data Warehouse team to ensure report data is available in the data warehouse for the report generation
Drive and participate in quality assurance and user acceptance testing processes
Train end users as required for new employees or new report functionality for existing employees
Work with the business to critically assess their data analysis needs and develop a rollout roadmap based on those needs
Provide support for any data quality, report display, training or other issues associated with the MicroStrategy report and ad-hoc environment
Candidates must be able to collaborate in a professional manner and be responsible for multiple projects and tasks demonstrating high levels of leadership and accountability
Deliver data-based insights, enabling users to investigate, monitor, analyze and act on real time data to make better decisions
Role Qualifications
B.A. or applicable degree and/or equivalent work experience
2-3 years of business intelligence report analysis and requirements definition
At least 3-year experience with MicroStrategy or equivalent reporting software
Able to write SQL
Experience with project managing end-to-end business report requirements collection as well as business stakeholder management
Ability to effectively manage and execute against reporting requirements from inception to delivery.
Ability to develop and deliver necessary documentation to support end-to-end report development, including report requirements, specification mockups, testing scenarios, project management artifacts and training materials.
Ability to think and communicate critically, to support and facilitate strategic analytical initiatives
Knowledge of data modeling concepts, data warehouse and data aggregation processes and strategies
Ability to facilitate requirements gathering meetings and experience with project management tools, techniques and methodologies
Ability to communicate with and provide direction to members of an external team.
Ability to manage schedules and priorities proactively
