Software Test Engineer

Cabot is looking for a person to be part of its Quality Assurance team. As a member of the team the person will be participating in the testing of our software products to assure high product quality. The person should have good understanding of software development life cycles and he/she should be familiar with test tools. Job Profile Develop and execute Software Test Plans for the Web and Smartphone [iPhone /Android/Windows Mobile] and deliver quality products in a timely manner. Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates. Create / maintain databases of known test defects. Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Follow standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness. Conduct all types of application testing as needed, such as usability, system, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods. Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers. Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes. Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards. Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content. Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks. Requirements More than a year of experience in testing, with exposure to automated testing. Experience working with Selenium. Experience in testing Smartphone Applications, a huge plus. Skilled at Testing Applications end-to-end. Experience of working in an agile environment is desirable. Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities. Proactively conduct research into emerging technologies and trends related to the web and mobile. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Good communication skills. Eligibility Experience Required: More than a year Academic Qualification: Graduation in any discipline/ Diploma in Engineering .
