Mandatory Skills / JD Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior AWS Cloud Administrator to join our growing cloud team. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate or individual with foundational knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) who is eager to start their career in cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administration and monitoring of our AWS environment under the guidance of senior staff. This is a crucial role focused on learning, execution, and adherence to best practices. Responsibilities: Assist in the deployment and configuration of basic AWS resources, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, IAM users/roles and other AWS Services following established procedures. Monitor the health, performance, and usage of AWS services and infrastructure using tools like AWS CloudWatch. Help maintain and update documentation for cloud infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures. Support the configuration and maintenance of network components like VPCs, subnets, and security groups (NSGs) under supervision. Participate in security reviews and assist in implementing basic security controls (e.g., access keys, password policies). Execute basic automation scripts (e.g., Python/Bash) for routine maintenance and operational tasks. Collaborate with senior administrators and development teams to understand application deployment requirements. Actively learn and stay up to date with new AWS services, features, and operational best practices. Assist with incident response and basic troubleshooting of infrastructure issues. Required Skills & Qualifications: 2 - 5 years of experience in a technical role, with demonstrated exposure to or focused study on AWS services (e.g., through personal projects, coursework, or certifications). Foundational understanding of core AWS services, including EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, and IAM. Basic knowledge of fundamental networking concepts (IP addressing, subnetting, and firewalls). Familiarity with operating systems, particularly Linux or Windows administration. Exposure to scripting/automation using a language like Python or Bash (e.g., school projects, personal scripts). Strong enthusiasm for learning cloud technologies and excellent attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred: Attainment of the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification or AWS focused course completion
