Lead I - SAP MDK Developer

SAP MDK Developer Job Summary The SAP MDK Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise mobile applications using SAP Mobile Development Kit (MDK). The role focuses on building mobile solutions integrated with SAP backend systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and seamless user experience while collaborating with functional and technical teams to deliver business-critical applications. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using SAP Mobile Development Kit (MDK). Build mobile user interfaces, business logic, and workflows using SAP MDK. Integrate SAP MDK applications with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and other backend systems using OData services. Develop and configure applications using SAP Business Application Studio and SAP Web IDE. Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of mobile applications. Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and technical teams to understand and implement business requirements. Support application deployments, upgrades, production issues, and post-go-live activities. Ensure application quality, security, and adherence to SAP development standards. Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.

Must Have Skills

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Mobile Development Kit (SAP MDK). Strong experience with SAP Business Application Studio and SAP Web IDE. Expertise in SAP MDK mobile application development. Strong understanding of OData services and SAP backend integration. Experience integrating SAP MDK applications with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC. Knowledge of JavaScript for SAP MDK application customization. Experience with SAP BTP Mobile Services. Hands-on experience with SAP Asset Manager. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Experience in mobile application testing, debugging, and performance optimization. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have Skills

Experience with SAP Agentry or SAP Work Manager. Knowledge of SAP Syclo mobile solutions. Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). Familiarity with offline mobile applications and synchronization concepts. Understanding of mobile application security and deployment best practices. SAP MDK, SAP BTP, or SAP Mobile certifications are an added advantage. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Willingness to learn and adopt new SAP mobile technologies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
