Lead II - Software Engineering - Java fullstack

Job Description – Senior Java Lead Experience: 8–12+ Years Location: Any UST Location Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Lead to design, develop, and lead the delivery of scalable, high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices , along with experience leading development teams and delivering enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable and secure Java applications. Design and develop RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot . Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams. Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize application performance. Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making. Ensure application quality through automated testing, CI/CD, and SDLC best practices. Support production deployments and resolve application issues when required.

Required Skills

8–12+ years of experience in Java application development. Strong expertise in Java (Java 8 or above) . Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework. Strong experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices. Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and software architecture. Experience with Maven for build and dependency management. Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Experience with Git , CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud platforms. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes . Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka or Google Pub/Sub . Familiarity with DevOps practices and deployment automation. Experience with application performance tuning and monitoring tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
