Job Description – Software Test Engineer (Manual + Automation) Job Title: Software Test Engineer (Manual & Automation) Experience Range: 6+ Years Hiring Location: TBD Must-Have Skills

Experience: 6+ years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) , Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) , Agile , and Scrum methodologies. Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver (Java/.NET) . Strong experience with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) . Experience using Katalon Studio . Strong programming skills in Java with exposure to TypeScript/JavaScript . Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using:

TestNG / JUnit Page Object Model (POM) Data-Driven Framework Hybrid Framework Keyword-Driven Framework

Strong manual testing expertise in:

Functional Testing Regression Testing Integration Testing Smoke Testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) End-to-End Testing

Experience testing:

Enterprise Web Applications Distributed Systems eCommerce Applications REST/SOAP Web Services Data & Application Integration SOA-based Solutions

API testing using Postman , REST Assured , or similar tools. Database testing and SQL validation. Experience with defect and test management tools:

JIRA Azure DevOps TestRail

Version control using Git , GitHub , or Bitbucket . Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using:

Jenkins Azure DevOps GitHub Actions Harness

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and defect management skills. Experience preparing and managing test data across multiple environments. Ability to coordinate testing activities across onshore and offshore teams. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience working with AWS or Azure cloud environments. Performance testing using JMeter . Knowledge of:

Accessibility Testing Cross-Browser Testing Responsive Testing

Front-end knowledge:

HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript Dropzone.js Gulp

Experience in Continuous Quality Engineering initiatives. Exposure to release readiness reporting and quality metrics. Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business and technical requirements to create effective test strategies. Develop test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases. Estimate testing effort and identify testing risks. Execute manual and automated test cases. Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks and scripts. Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, System, API, UI, and End-to-End testing. Prepare and validate test data across environments. Log, track, verify, and resolve defects with development teams. Execute REST API and backend validation testing. Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines. Monitor testing progress and communicate quality metrics and release readiness. Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and Production Support teams. Drive test process improvements and automation initiatives to improve software quality.
