Job Description – Senior Quality Engineer (Automation Testing) Experience: 12+ Years Location: Hyderbad Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Quality Engineer to lead automation testing initiatives for enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Playwright, Java, JavaScript, Postman, and Automation Testing , with experience designing automation frameworks, implementing test strategies, and driving quality across Agile development teams. Key Responsibilities

Define and implement test strategies for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright , Java , and JavaScript . Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications and REST APIs. Perform API testing using Postman and REST Assured. Collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. Create and manage test plans, test cases, test data, and testing documentation. Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing. Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and work with development teams to resolve issues. Drive QA best practices, automation standards, and continuous process improvements. Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical leadership across projects. Participate in Agile ceremonies, release planning, and quality assurance activities throughout the SDLC.

Required Skills

12+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Automation Testing. Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework. Expertise in Java and JavaScript for test automation. Experience with Postman and REST API testing. Experience with Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile methodologies. Experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines. Strong knowledge of test planning, test strategy, and defect management. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

Experience with REST Assured. Experience working in Retail or E-commerce applications. Knowledge of XML, web services, and API integrations. Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and similar collaboration tools. Experience working with DevOps practices and continuous testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. ISTQB or other QA certifications are an added advantage.
