Lead II - Software Testing (SDET- Automation Testing, Playwright, TypeScript

Role Description Job Title: Lead Automation Test Engineer Playwright (TypeScript) Experience: 6+ Years Job Location: Hyderabad Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright (TypeScript), API Automation, and SQL, along with hands-on experience in Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate must have solid leadership experience, capable of driving automation strategy, mentoring teams, and ensuring high-quality deliveries. Key Responsibilities Lead and drive the test automation strategy using Playwright with TypeScript.Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation frameworks.Build and execute API automation tests.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, Product Owners, DevOps) to ensure quality at every stage.Analyze requirements and define test scenarios, test cases, and automation strategies.Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.Perform database validation using SQL queries.Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.Ensure best practices in test automation, code quality, and reporting.Monitor test execution, debug failures, and provide root cause analysis.Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement. Mandatory Skills Strong hands-on experience in Playwright with TypeScriptExpertise in UI test automation frameworksExperience in API automation (RESTful services)Good knowledge of SQL / Database testingExperience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, test management)Strong understanding of automation design patterns and best practicesLeadership experience (must-have) handling teams, mentoring, and delivery ownership Good to Have Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber)Knowledge of performance testing basicsExposure to cloud environments (Azure preferred)Experience in version control tools like Git Skills SDET, Playwright, Typescript, Agile, Automation testing, Selenium webdriver, Java, API .
