About the role
Role Summary
We are looking for a Network Operations Engineer with experience in managing enterprise network infrastructure, troubleshooting network issues, performing device upgrades, and implementing security hardening across Cisco and Palo Alto environments. Key Responsibilities
Manage and support Cisco IOS, IOS XE, Nexus, ASR, ISR, and Palo Alto network devices. Perform device upgrades, firmware updates, patching, and device hardening activities. Troubleshoot routing, switching, and firewall issues to ensure network availability. Manage and resolve network vulnerabilities by reviewing CVEs, PSIRT advisories, and security recommendations. Perform configuration reviews and ensure compliance with security standards. Support Cisco routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP. Manage Palo Alto firewall configurations, including security policies, NAT, VPN, and threat prevention. Handle incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Follow ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and change records. Support planned maintenance and emergency changes during non-business hours when required. Work with global teams across UK, EMEA, and APAC regions.

Preferred Skills
Experience with Infoblox NetMRI for:
Network automation Configuration auditing Compliance monitoring Device management Reporting and vulnerability tracking
Experience with Qualys, Panorama, or similar network/security tools. Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, or ITIL are preferred.
