Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer Windows & PowerShell (India)

Role description We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer with strong experience in Windows infrastructure and PowerShell automation within enterprise environments. The role will focus on automating and supporting hybrid infrastructure platforms across Windows Server, Azure, identity services, and virtualization environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building and maintaining automation solutions using PowerShell and should be comfortable working in large enterprise environments involving Azure, Active Directory/Entra ID, virtualization platforms, and operational automation. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell for Windows and hybrid infrastructure environments. - Automate infrastructure administration, provisioning, monitoring, patching, and operational tasks. - Support and manage Windows Server environments, Azure infrastructure, and identity platforms including Active Directory and Entra ID. - Work on automation and operational support across virtualized and hybrid cloud environments. - Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to improve reliability and operational efficiency. - Support monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting activities for enterprise platforms. - Ensure security, compliance, and operational standards are followed within automation processes. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and standardization of automation practices. Required Skills & Experience - 5+ years of experience in Windows infrastructure administration and automation. - Strong hands-on experience in PowerShell scripting and automation. - Experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments. - Good exposure to Azure infrastructure and administration. - Experience with Active Directory and/or Entra ID administration and automation. - Exposure to virtualization technologies and hybrid infrastructure environments. - Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills. - Positive understanding of enterprise infrastructure operations and automation best practices. Preferred Skills - Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code concepts. - Basic knowledge of Python scripting. - Experience with monitoring and operational automation tools. - Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Load Balancers. - Exposure to ITIL-based operational environments.
