Senior Java Developer Job Summary The Senior Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java and modern cloud-native technologies. The role involves building microservices, developing REST APIs, implementing event-driven architectures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable enterprise solutions on Azure. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications. Develop RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Framework. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Build event-driven applications using Kafka. Develop and optimize applications using SQL and NoSQL databases. Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure. Containerize and orchestrate applications using Kubernetes. Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture and design discussions. Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Business teams throughout the SDLC. Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow Agile/Scrum development practices. Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, and high availability.

Must Have Skills

10+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development. Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 8+), Collections, Multithreading, and Concurrency. Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot. Strong experience in Microservices architecture. Expertise in RESTful APIs, REST/JSON, and SOAP Web Services. Hands-on experience with Kafka for event-driven messaging. Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes. Knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and SDLC. Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have Skills

Experience with Docker and containerization. Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, etc.). Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and DevOps practices. Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Familiarity with Redis, MongoDB, or other distributed databases. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Azure or Java certifications are an added advantage. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
