CIVIL Engineer

Role & responsibilities Site supervision: Oversee day-to-day on-site activities, ensure work is executed per drawings and specifications , and confirm labor and subcontractors follow schedules. Quality control: Implement inspection checkpoints, check material conformity, supervise tests (compaction, concrete cube etc.), and ensure workmanship meets standards. Health & safety: Enforce safety protocols , conduct toolbox talks, ensure PPE use, and report near-misses or incidents to maintain a safe site. Coordination & communication: Liaise with architects, contractors, vendors, and clients; resolve design clarifications and issue RFI/site instructions to avoid delays. Resource & progress management: Track manpower, materials, plant and daily progress; update work schedules and raise procurement needs to prevent shortages. Documentation & reporting: Maintain site recordsdaily logs, test reports, drawings markups, progress reportsand submit them for approvals and billing. Problem solving & compliance: Identify site issues, propose practical solutions, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with codes, permits, and contract requirements. Ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations Managing budgets and resources Overseeing construction progress and quality Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals Ensuring safety and environmental standards are met Providing technical advice and solutions to problems Maintaining project documentation and records Preferred candidate profile Professional responsible for planning, designing, constructing
