Job Title - Manual Test Engineer Job Description Job Title: Manual Test Engineer **Location:**Bangalore Job Type: Full-Time Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Manual Test Engineer to join our dynamic QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous manual testing processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, document, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications. - Execute manual tests on various software applications, identifying defects, and reporting issues in a clear and concise manner. - Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality. - Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed. - Participate in defect triage meetings and work closely with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues. - Maintain and update test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test reports. - Assist in the development and implementation of QA processes, best practices, and automation strategies. - Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall product quality. Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other team members to enhance product quality. - Participate in daily stand-ups and project meetings to provide testing updates and insights. 8. Continuous Improvement: - Actively seek opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologies. - Provide suggestions for automation where feasible to improve efficiency in the testing cycle. 9. Training and Mentorship: - Mentor junior test engineers in best practices and methodologies for manual testing. - Provide training sessions or workshops on testing techniques to enhance team skills. 10. Stakeholder Communication: - Maintain clear communication of testing progress, issues, and risks with project stakeholders. - Report testing conclusions and quality status to management and other teams. 11. Regression Testing: - Conduct regression testing for every new release to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected. - Oversee the maintenance of test environments and test data. 12. Adherence to Standards: - Ensure compliance with industry best practices for quality assurance and testing. - Follow established QA processes and contribute to the development of quality standards within the organization.
