Job Description Planning Engineer Position: Planning Engineer Location: Chennai & Vellore Experience: 3+ and above Years Salary: Up to 50,000 - 60000 per month (Based on experience) Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Planning Engineer to support project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring for civil construction projects. The ideal candidate should have experience in project planning tools and be capable of coordinating with site and project teams to ensure timely project execution. Key Responsibilities Prepare project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project. Develop baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project timelines. Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and clients. Identify project delays and recommend corrective actions. Track project milestones and resource utilization. Prepare look-ahead plans and recovery schedules. Support project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. Maintain project planning documentation and MIS reports. Ensure project execution aligns with approved schedules and contractual milestones. Candidate Profile Minimum 3 and above years of experience as a Planning Engineer in civil construction projects. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. Good knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and project coordination. Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills. Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred. Qualification B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
