Job Summary

We are looking for experienced CMM Programmers to join our quality team in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect CNC machined components. This role requires strong expertise in CMM software (PC-DMIS and Calypso), 2D drawing interpretation, and GD&T to ensure components meet precise quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, edit, and optimize CMM programs to inspect complex CNC machined parts.

Interpret 2D engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications for accurate inspections.

Set up, calibrate, and verify CMM equipment for precision measurement.

Perform inspections on CNC components and ensure compliance with tolerance requirements.

Analyze inspection data, prepare detailed reports, and document results.

Collaborate with CNC operators, engineers, and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve programming or measurement challenges.

Qualifications

• 8–20 years of proven experience as a CMM Programmer in heavy industry or related manufacturing.

• Strong proficiency with PC-DMIS and Calypso software.

• Solid understanding of GD&T and ability to read/interpret 2D technical drawings.

• Familiarity with CNC machining processes and tolerances.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology , or related field.
