Electrical Engineer

Position: Electrical Engineer Location: Riceboro, GA (On-site)

Experience: 5+ Years Duration: 24+ months

Citizenship Requirement: US Citizen or Green Card Holder ONLY

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• 5–7+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or chemical processing environments

• Hands-on experience with:

• 13.8kV class systems

• Low and medium voltage equipment

• Switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, Generators

• Strong knowledge of IEEE, NEC, NFPA 70/70E, and other applicable standards

• Experience with power system analysis software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower) preferred

• Working knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems a plus

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Willingness to travel occasionally within the US (typically 1–2 days per trip)

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and oversee installation of electrical equipment (switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, generators, transformers, low/medium voltage systems)

• Support projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring designs meet electrical standards and safety requirements

• Perform load calculations, fault current analysis, and arc flash studies

• Develop, review, and approve electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs

• Select and evaluate vendors/suppliers for electrical equipment

• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and company safety standards

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in collaboration with maintenance and operations teams

• Support startup and commissioning of new systems and retrofits

• Provide input for capital projects and plant modifications

• Conduct root cause analysis of electrical failures and recommend solutions

• Maintain accurate technical documentation for equipment and systems

• Participate in site inspections, audits, and safety reviews
