Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Onsite in Reedsville, PA Type: Contract (Immediate Start)
About the Role
We’re hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to support product introduction, process development, and ongoing manufacturing improvements. You’ll be working with advanced ultrasound technology that plays a direct role in saving lives and improving healthcare outcomes globally.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate closely with R&D, Operations, and Quality to bring new products into manufacturing, resolve production issues, and drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities
Work with R&D and Operations to develop and optimize manufacturing processes
Support design for manufacturability during new product development
Lead the transfer of new transducer designs from R&D into production
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues including yield, scrap, and nonconforming products
Use lean principles to identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities
Develop and execute process and design verification plans (including statistical analyses and testing)
Specify, install, and validate new manufacturing equipment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Biomedical Engineering (or related field)
Up to 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable making technical decisions with limited guidance
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with statistical tools (SPC, capability studies, trend analysis)
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, pharma)

Background in lean manufacturing

Experience with equipment validation and process documentation in medical device production
