Software Tester

Length : Permanent position, with three-month probation period Qualification: Any graduate/Above Work Hours: EST shift (6:00 pm to 3:00 am). It will be a fixed shift. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of our software products by designing and executing test plans, identifying issues, and collaborating with development teams to deliver defect-free solutions. Responsibilities: Analyzing users stories and/ use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility. Collaborate closely with other team members and departments. Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression). Design and develop automation scripts when needed. Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies. Provide timely solutions. Verify bug fixes and ensure thorough regression testing is performed. Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues effectively. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing. Ensure that all deliverables meet defined quality standards and customer requirements. Perform root cause analysis for production issues to improve processes. Work closely with product managers, developers, and designers to understand and test features. Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Apply quality engineering principals throughout the agile product lifecycle. Document testing processes, results, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and design documents to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases. Requirements: An Engineer or similar stream of IT/Software. Experience in Manual +Automation Testing. Hands on experience on Postman, Selenium. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Knowledge of SDLC STLC and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). Knowledge/experience of project/bug tracking software such as JIRA will be added advantage Knowledge/experience in automation testing using Selenium/Cypress will be added advantage Experience in using testing tools such as Postman, BrowserStack, Pingdom, GTmetrix, Lighthouse, PageSpeed. Experience in QA testing methodologies on an e-commerce platform Should be a keen observer and should be able to find valid bugs. An Individual contributor and strong team player. Critical thinker and problem-solving skills. Self-Motivated. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to analyze API responses and ensure correct data handling (e.g., verifying status codes , headers , and payloads ). Knowledge of API security testing and techniques like authentication (OAuth, JWT, etc.) and data validation . Experience testing native , hybrid , and web-based mobile applications on both Android and iOS Proficiency with version control systems like Git , Bitbucket , or SVN for managing test scripts, reporting, and documentation. Basic knowledge of security testing principles, such as SQL injection , cross-site scripting (XSS) , and cross-site request forgery (CSRF) . Understanding of how to identify vulnerabilities in the application during testing. Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and testing environments. Eagerness to stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in the software testing domain.
