About the role
ey Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain robust API automation frameworks using RestAssured (Java), Postman (Collection + Newman), Cypress, Playwright, or Jest in integration with CI/CD pipelines. - Develop and execute automated test scripts for RESTful and GraphQL APIs across multiple environments (QA, UAT, Production, Sandbox, EU Region). - Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate API tests into Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Bitbucket Pipelines for continuous testing. - Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing of APIs with a focus on security, performance, and reliability. - Implement test data management strategies, including agile request payloads and response validation using JSON Schema, XML Schema, or custom validation logic. - Conduct load and performance testing using JMeter, integrated with API automation suites to ensure scalability and stability. - Leverage Allure, Extent Reports, or Power BI for generating detailed, actionable test execution reports and dashboards. - Support multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ensure consistent test execution across different cloud accounts and regions. - Automate API contract testing and validate adherence to OpenAPI/Swagger specifications. - Work closely with security and compliance teams to validate API access controls, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and data privacy (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001/27701). - Participate in code reviews, test planning, and test case design sessions using JIRA and Confluence. - Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers on API testing best practices, automation tools, and framework usage. - Troubleshoot and resolve flaky tests, environmental issues, and test failures in production-like scenarios.
