Data Operations Lead

We are looking for candidates with Primary Skillset: Data Operations Leadership, SQL Server DBA, T-SQL, Azure Data Platform, Azure Data Factory • Provide strategic operational leadership for enterprise-scale data platforms, ensuring 24/7 production stability and high availability. • Lead and manage a team responsible for production support, incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem execution. • Design, implement, and enforce standardized operating procedures, runbooks, monitoring frameworks, and escalation protocols. • Own the reliability, performance, security, and compliance posture of the data platform across on-premises and Azure environments. • Drive automation and observability initiatives to reduce toil, improve mean time to resolution (MTTR), and enable proactive risk detection. • Establish and maintain data governance, access controls, audit readiness, and operational compliance in regulated environments. • Partner with architecture, engineering, compliance, and business teams to align data operations with enterprise goals and priorities. • Make independent, high-impact decisions under pressure, balancing technical trade-offs with business risk and operational impact. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. • 10+ years of experience in Data related role and Data Operations • Database & Querying: Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL • Cloud Data Platform: Azure Data Platform (Azure SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake) • Data Orchestration & ETL: Azure Data Factory (ADF) • Monitoring & Observability: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights • CI/CD & DevOps: Azure DevOps (pipelines, repositories, release management) • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform or ARM Templates (preferred)uous delivery.
