Python Developer

We are looking for a looking for a Backend Developer to join our growing team of dedicated technologists and innovators that collaboratively optimize digital supply chain for our clients. We are looking for a Developer that can solve complex technical problems and contribute to technical decisions, while also focusing on the execution and delivery of high-quality code across the assigned project. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for problem solving, possessing the ability to communicate with internal stakeholders, while also collaborating with peers on the development team to code solutions that lead to successful delivery of specific features and/or workflows on the assigned project. • This position will be responsible in designing, developing, and optimizing workflows in collaboration with the assigned project’s Lead Developer. You’ll be playing a critical role in writing high-quality code to develop complex features and optimize performance, while using the Python/Django framework to create robust web applications, APIs, and other back-end services that lay the groundwork to integrating our Cloud-based servicing product with our client’s backend systems. Your Role: • Work in collaboration with the Lead Engineer, your peers on the development team, and internal stakeholders such as product managers, designers, and QAs, to ensure project requirements are translated and coded into technical solutions on the assigned project successfully • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality code that is clean, efficient, and follows best practices • Write unit tests, integration tests, and participate in test-driven development to ensure the stability and reliability of your code • Ensure that code is well-documented, making it easier for other developers to understand and maintain moving forward • Take ownership of key deliverables, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards • Ensure long term software quality, scalability, and maintainability • Assist with technical resolution of issues on production and development systems • Understanding of the full stack of the application (HTML/CSS/JS, REST, Relational Databases such as PostgreSQL) • Participate in design and development of project-based backend development efforts. What You’ll Bring • Demonstrated Python and Django experience in a professional setting, 4 to 5 years of experience • Extensive understanding of web application best practices and Git development flow • Knowledge of relational databases such as Postgres • Experience in building and supporting RESTful APIs using Django and Django REST Framework • Experience with Node • Understanding of the full stack of the application and experience with HTML/CSS/JS • Understanding of cloud services such as AWS, GCP, Azure • Excellent communicator who is passionate about quality, supportability, extensibility, and scalable application design • Python and Django (Primary) - Medium, • Web application best practices and Git development flow (Primary) - Medium, • Relational databases such as Postgres (Secondary) - Medium • RESTful APIs using Django and Django REST Framework (Primary) - Medium, • Experience with Node (Secondary) - Medium • Understanding of the full stack of the application and experience with HTML/CSS/JS (Secondary) - Medium • Understanding of cloud services such as AWS, GCP, Azure (Secondary) - Medium
