VB.Net Developer

We are looking for candidates with skillset - VB.NET, .Net Core, VSTO, SQL Roles & Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain VB.NET applications including Windows Forms, web modules, and backend services within the .NET ecosystem. • Modernize and migrate existing VB.NET applications toward .NET Core / .NET 6+ to improve scalability, performance, and security. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and deliver robust solutions. • Integrate applications with SQL Server databases, write optimized queries, and implement stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning. • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using VSTS / Azure DevOps for automated builds, deployments, version control, and release management. • Develop integration components connecting with third-party APIs, internal services, and legacy systems. • Conduct thorough unit testing, participate in peer code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes. • Ensure all applications meet security, compliance, and performance standards, especially in regulated industries such as BFSI or healthcare. • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specs, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides. A VB.NET Developer with VSTS (Visual Studio Team Services / Azure DevOps) experience is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-level applications using the VB.NET framework within a modern, scalable, and secure software delivery lifecycle. The role involves building and enhancing legacy and new applications on the .NET ecosystem, particularly in environments where VB.NET remains in use—such as in financial services, healthcare, or government systems—while progressively modernizing them toward .NET Core/.NET 6+ for improved performance, security, and maintainability. Key responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented VB.NET code for Windows Forms, Web Applications, and backend services; integrating with databases (SQL Server) and third-party APIs; troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues; and ensuring code quality through unit testing and peer reviews.
