About the role
Role Overview: You will oversee and lead a team of technical support staff who design, develop, test, implement, and monitor software and tools. Additionally, you will manage the implementation of divisional products and evaluate and select IT vendor products. You will partner with leaders to strategize and effectively shape IT demand that will deliver business impact. The role also involves overseeing end-to-end IT project planning and execution to ensure alignment with strategic business goals, leading the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for timely and effective delivery of IT initiatives, identifying and mitigating project risks, and managing vendor and third-party relationships to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables. Key Responsibilities: - Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew, provide guidance and training, set performance standards, review performance, and make compensation decisions. - Deliver software releases related to the product for business units, manage testing, evaluation, and selection of IT vendor products, and work with business clients to determine scope and develop environmental requirements for each project. - Develop and implement changes to department policies and procedures, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and lead quality initiatives to improve service delivery. - Lead the department budget, review expenses, and ensure the department operates within budgetary guidelines. - Ensure staff compliance with IT and information security policies and procedures, and verify that deliverables meet requirements. - Participate in special projects and perform other assigned duties. - Oversee end-to-end IT project planning and execution, lead the SDLC, identify and mitigate risks, and manage relationships with external vendors and third-party service providers. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 10 years of experience in IT delivery and technology leadership roles, with expertise in software implementation and team management. - Bachelors degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Masters degree in Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent preferred. - Proficiency in IT project planning, SDLC methodologies, and enterprise software delivery. - Strong experience in the Investment/Asset Management domain, with a deep understanding of front, middle, and back-office operations. - Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, including designing, deploying, and managing scalable enterprise solutions. - Strong background in data platforms, with proficiency in Oracle-based data ecosystems and exposure to enterprise financial data platforms. - Experience working on or supporting trading systems and applications, with a solid understanding of trading workflows, market data flows, and index/data processing pipelines.
