The ideal candidate should have experience building scalable, high-performance database solutions in production environments. Note: This is a Core SQL Development Role . Candidates working primarily as Database Administrators (DBA), Support Engineers, Data Engineers, ETL Developers, Reporting Developers, BI Developers, or Data Analysts will not be a fit for this position. ********** Must-haves ********** 4-7 years of hands-on MySQL Development experience Strong expertise in SQL Query Writing and Optimization Experience designing Database Schemas, ERDs, and Normalized Data Models Strong experience with Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and Views Experience with Indexing Strategies and Query Performance Tuning Strong understanding of Transactions, Locks, Deadlocks, and Data Integrity Experience handling large datasets and high-volume transactional systems Strong understanding of Database Design Principles Knowledge of MySQL Event Scheduler Experience working closely with Backend Development teams Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field ********** Good to have (big plus) ********** Experience in FinTech, Banking, Lending, or Payments domain Exposure to AWS RDS or Cloud Database environments Knowledge of Replication and High Availability concepts Experience working in Agile teams Understanding of security and compliance best practices ********** What the role actually involves ********** Design and maintain scalable MySQL database architectures Develop and optimize complex SQL queries Create and maintain Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and Views Perform query optimization and database performance tuning Design ERDs and database schemas Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability Collaborate with Backend Engineering teams to improve application performance Troubleshoot production database issues and optimize database efficiency
