About the role
Analyze, designs, programs, debugs and modifies FPGA code designs. Troubleshoots code for firmware (IC embedded code) applications. Work often involves Analog and digital hardware and software operating systems. Position requires knowledge and exposure to hardware design. Typically, programs in - Hardware Description Languages (e.g., SystemVerilog or VHDL) or high-level languages (e.g., Python) Your Role: Experience with Verilog, System veri-log and/or VHDL Experience with the basics of FPGA development Familiarity with a simulation tool Model sim or equivalent Experience with a scripting language such as Python Some experience with debugging electrical hardware using Chipscope/ Signaltap or oscilloscope/logic analyzer Your Profile: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience, or M.S. or Ph.D. with 2+ years of relevant experience Experience with Windows & Linux Familiar with Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD) a plus Development of specifications & requirements Design, build, and unit test firmware in a collaborative environment Knowledge/use of automated test benching a plus Familiarity with the use of FPGA intellectual property beneficial Excellent oral and written communication skills Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
