About The Job: We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Engineer with deep expertise in Linux systems administration, VMware virtualization, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. Essential Job Functions: Linux VMware Infrastructure: Administer and maintain Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) in enterprise environments. Manage VMware vSphere environments including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and vSAN. Perform system upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies. Automate routine tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or similar tools. AWS Cloud Engineering: Design and deploy secure, scalable, and cost-optimized AWS infrastructure. Manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and Lambda. Automate infrastructure provisioning using CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK. Monitor and optimize cloud performance, security, and cost. Ensure compliance with security and governance standards in the cloud. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to support infrastructure needs. Lead infrastructure projects and mentor junior engineers. Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices. Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as needed. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 7+ years of experience in Linux system administration. 5+ years of experience with VMware virtualization technologies. 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure. Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar). Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus). Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional. VMware Certified Professional (VCP). Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
