Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Manager Location: Hyderabad Experience: 4 10 Years Work Mode: Work from Office The IT Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our systems. Your Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities - Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Ubuntu Linux servers across Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments. - Ensure infrastructure availability, stability, security, and performance through proactive maintenance and operational controls. - Manage Linux patching, package upgrades, kernel updates, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, SSH access, user accounts, and sudo permissions. - Provision and manage Azure Virtual Machines and Google Compute Engine instances, including CPU, memory, GPU, disks, snapshots, images, and network interfaces. - Manage cloud resource hierarchies, including Azure subscriptions and resource groups and GCP organizations, folders, projects, and billing accounts. - Configure and maintain Azure VNets, GCP VPCs, subnets, route tables, private and public IP addresses, NAT, DNS, load balancers, peering, and hybrid connectivity. - Configure and manage site-to-site and client VPN solutions for secure employee, vendor, cloud-to-cloud, and cloud-to-on-premises access. - Define and maintain firewall rules, Azure Network Security Groups, GCP VPC firewall policies, ingress and egress controls, and network access restrictions. - Manage Azure RBAC, GCP IAM, service accounts, managed identities, secrets, credentials, SSH keys, and least-privilege access policies. - Implement infrastructure provisioning and configuration automation using Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Python, Azure CLI, and Google Cloud CLI. - Develop reusable Terraform modules for Azure and GCP infrastructure. Terraform supports managing both cloud and on-premises resources through provider-based integrations. - Maintain standardized server configurations, operating-system baselines, naming conventions, tagging, documentation, and infrastructure inventories. - Collaborate with application, DevOps, AI/ML, data engineering, GIS, and database teams to support deployments and resolve infrastructure issues. - Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms. - Support Docker-based application deployments and Kubernetes environments where applicable, without making Kubernetes administration the primary responsibility. - Establish centralized infrastructure monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting for CPU, memory, disk, network, process, application, and service availability. - Manage or integrate monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK/OpenSearch, and Alertmanager. - Define alert thresholds, escalation procedures, incident response processes, and infrastructure operational runbooks. - Perform root-cause analysis for infrastructure failures, performance degradation, networking issues, storage failures, and service outages. - Plan and manage infrastructure backups, VM snapshots, disk backups, database backup coordination, retention policies, recovery testing, and disaster-recovery procedures. - Conduct periodic business-continuity and disaster-recovery exercises and document recovery time and recovery point objectives. - Monitor cloud capacity, quotas, disk usage, network utilization, and VM performance to identify scaling requirements before service degradation occurs. - Perform resource rightsizing, capacity forecasting, reservation or commitment planning, and cost-versus-performance analysis. - Implement on-demand provisioning, scheduled start/stop, vertical scaling, and VM fleet autoscaling where workloads support it. - Maintain budgets, cost alerts, resource labels/tags, chargeback reports, unused-resource identification, and monthly cloud cost reports. - Review Azure and GCP invoices and investigate unexpected increases in compute, storage, network egress, snapshot, logging, and public IP costs. - Maintain infrastructure architecture diagrams, server inventories, access matrices, firewall inventories, VPN documentation, SOPs, and operational checklists. - Coordinate with cloud providers, ISP teams, hardware vendors, security teams, and third-party support providers. - Participate in infrastructure change management, security audits, compliance reviews, and production release planning. - Lead infrastructure engineers or system administrators and ensure operational ownership across environments. .
