As an Associate AI/ML Engineer, you will be supporting the development of machine learning and multimodal capabilities across various media types such as text, image, audio, and video. Your role will involve data engineering tasks, implementing baseline models, and collaborating with senior engineers to build production-ready AI features for media workflows like content tagging, speech transcription, image understanding, and personalized recommendations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Implementing baseline ML models for classification, regression, recommendation, and text analytics - Training small-scale multimodal models using datasets with images, audio, and video frames - Conducting experiments with OCR, ASR, TTS, object detection, and emotion/sentiment detection You will also be responsible for: - Cleaning and preprocessing structured/unstructured media data such as transcripts, videos, and images - Extracting features from audio/video using libraries like OpenCV, ffmpeg, librosa - Supporting dataset creation for multimodal tasks like frame extraction and audio segmentation Additionally, you will assist in: - Building training and evaluation pipelines including data loaders and augmentation pipelines - Supporting the deployment of inference APIs using FastAPI/Flask It is essential for you to have the following skills: - Proficiency in Python, Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn - Basics of deep learning and familiarity with PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV, and librosa - Understanding of media formats such as MP4, WAV, PNG/JPEG, and subtitles - Exposure to cloud ML services like Azure Video Indexer and AWS Rekognition Preferred skills for this role include: - Experience with pre-trained multimodal models like CLIP, Whisper, and ViT - Basic understanding of embeddings and vector databases - Familiarity with data labeling and annotation tools To qualify for this position, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree in CS, AI, Data Science, or equivalent - Previous internships or academic projects in machine learning or media AI Please note that the company's additional details were not provided in the job description.
