About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot. You will build and deploy microservices in containerized environments using Docker and orchestration tools. Integration and management of event-driven systems leveraging Kafka and MQTT for realtime data processing will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will develop efficient SQL queries, work with relational databases for data modeling, and focus on performance optimization. Implementing CI/CD pipelines using Git, Bitbucket, and other DevOps tools for smooth software delivery will also be within your responsibilities. You will deploy and manage applications on AWS and GCP cloud platforms with a focus on scalability and reliability, collaborating with product managers, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end. Participation in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices is essential. Furthermore, you will contribute to architectural discussions, propose improvements, and optimize system performance. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in computer science with an optional Master's degree. Strong programming expertise in Java along with solid experience in Spring Boot microservices is necessary. Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized deployments, working knowledge of Kafka, MQTT, and messaging systems, as well as proficiency in SQL and relational database design/optimization are key qualifications. Cloud deployment experience on AWS and/or GCP, proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, and CI/CD workflows, strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative startup/enterprise environment are also required.
