Job Title: Principal Engineer Backup & Recovery Location: Delhi NCR / Bangalore / Hyderabad / Pune (Hybrid) Experience: 7+ Years Joining- Early joiners needed Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Backup & Recovery professional to join our team as a Principal Engineer. The role involves managing enterprise backup environments, handling disaster recovery operations, and acting as an L3 escalation point in a managed services setup. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and support backup tools like Rubrik, Veeam, Commvault, or Cohesity - Monitor backups, troubleshoot failures, and ensure successful recovery - Handle disaster recovery operations (RPO, RTO, failover/failback) - Perform backup validation, DR drills, and recovery testing - Work on virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix) - Manage storage systems (SAN, NAS, Cloud storage) - Support Azure/AWS backup and recovery solutions - Ensure security best practices including ransomware protection & immutable backups - Maintain documentation, runbooks, and compliance requirements - Act as L3 escalation point for complex issues - Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices - Collaborate with clients and internal teams in an MSP environment Required Skills: - Strong experience in enterprise backup & recovery solutions - Positive understanding of backup methodologies (incremental, full, replication) - Hands-on experience with DR concepts and restore operations - Experience in Windows & Linux environments - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Knowledge of PowerShell/scripting is a plus - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills .
