Test Planning: Collaborating with software development teams to understand project requirements and objectives, and then creating a detailed test plan that outlines the testing strategy, scope, and test cases.Test Case Design: Creating test cases that encompass various scenarios, including positive and negative test cases, to validate the functionality and performance of software applications.Test Execution: Running test cases to evaluate the software's performance, functionality, and compatibility with different platforms, browsers, and devices.Bug Identification: Detecting and documenting software defects, inconsistencies, or issues. Testing Engineers use various testing methods, such as manual testing or automated testing, to find and report these issues.Regression Testing: Conducting regression tests to ensure that new code changes or updates do not introduce new issues or affect the existing functionality negatively.Automation: In some cases, Testing Engineers are responsible for test automation. This involves developing automated test scripts using testing tools or scripting languages to streamline and accelerate the testing process.Performance Testing: Assessing the performance and scalability of software applications to determine how they perform under various loads and conditions.Security Testing: Evaluating the security of software applications by identifying vulnerabilities and potential security risks.
